Warren Gatland must have majorly pissed off someon to have been struck with another injury blow on the eve of the World Cup.
The Wales coach has been forced to make a late alteration to his squad after it was confirmed this evening that Eli Walker will miss the tournament with a hamstring injury.
Walker was only called up to the squad after Leigh Halfpenny was ruled out due to a serious knee injury, but the one-cap wing will now be replaced by the Irish sounding Ross Moriarty.
The injury marks yet another blow to Wales’ hopes of making an impression in the tournament that starts later this week after the injury to Halfpenny and scrumhalf Rhys Webb last week.
Moriarty’s father and uncle both played in the very first World Cup back in 1987, and his place in the squad will at least give Gatland some options as he can play as both an eight and a blindside flanker.
