Injury to Jamie Heaslip means Joe Schmidt, for the second time in three games, must go with an alternate No.8 for a crucial Six Nations match.
Schmidt named a 36-man training squad, on Tuesday, and, from the outside looking in, has four options to start at the back of his pack.
He can go with either Jordi Murphy, who started against Italy, or Roger Wilson as specialist No.8s. The other options would be to shift his back row around and place either Peter O'Mahony or Sean O'Brien in the jersey. Both have experience at No.8.
