To start with, a disclaimer: I've never seen an episode of Game of Thrones.

However, any BBC rugby promo ticks the boxes for us. The Game of Thrones fans in SportsJOE towers have assured me that this medieval Six Nations opener for the Beeb is more than a nod to the popular TV show though, and I'll take them at their word. They're a sound bunch. Crunching hits, great tries, inspiring images and disinterested Frenchmen all feature, and it really gets the blood pumping ahead of tonight's opener in Cardiff. I've been told that there is an incredible amount of violence and nudity in the show, and while I'm expecting plenty of the former over the next six or so weeks, I'm seriously hoping we don't see any of the latter.
