Ireland play their first game since the end of the Six Nations tomorrow night as they host the Barbarians at Thomond Park.

It’s a chance for Joe Schmidt to see if any players could be added to his World Cup panel, while for the visitors it’s probably just a handy excuse for a good session after the game.

Well maybe not but let’s hope they take it a bit more seriously than their place kicking attempts with players blindfolded for their shots at the post during today’s Captain’s Run.

To be fair the session looks like serious craic and it came at the end of what by all accounts was an impressive run out from Robbie Deans’ side.
