A touching tribute to one of the game’s greats.

A video has emerged of the Samoan national rugby team singing a spine-tingling hymn for terminally ill Springbok Joost van der Westhuizen.

Van der Westhuizen has been suffering from motor neurone disease since 2011.

The former South African scrum-half, who won 89 caps for his country, has travelled the world raising awareness about the disease.

At their training base in Brighton, the Samoan rugby team welcomed the former Rugby World Cup winner in extraordinary fashion with a rousing rendition of the hymn Fa’afetai i le atua.
