VIDEO: Rugby league player thinks he’s Tom Brady with outrageous NFL-Style pass

Technique needs a bit of work

There is a perception that rugby props are all grunt and little technical skill.

Give them the ball, let them bash up the middle, and leave the silky rugby stuff to the more ‘cultured colleagues’ in the backs.

Well one prop decided to rip up the book on that idea with this glorious NFL-style pass in a rugby league clash this weekend.

Mose Masoe found himself surrounded by Leeds Rhinos players almost on his own tryline and instead of taking the easy option of passing to a teammate three feet away, he took responsibility and instead launched a missile 20 metres to a teammate on the far side.

Tom Brady probably would advise him to maybe improve the spin on the ball but in terms of getting out a tight spot by using his head and massive arms he have to say we’re impressed.

Leeds went on to win 46-18.
