Nothing like getting a head-high pass from your team-mate with an 18-stone Tongan bulling in your direction...
Tonga defeated the United States Eagles 40-12 at the weekend thanks to a three-try burst in six minutes at Kingsholm.
One of the highlights of the match, however, was a rib-mulching tackle on US Eagles' Folau Niua from David Halaifonua. Niua's ribs were exposed as he took a hospital pass high over his head. While the hit was crunching, the fullback managed to hold onto the ball and present it for his team-mates. The Tongans were then pinged at the resulting breakdown. Win some, lose some, smash some.
Hat-tip Ruddy Darter.
