Even despite injury, Ireland’s on and off the field leader is there for his team-mates.

Paul O’Connell will never wear an Ireland jersey again, but that hasn’t stopped the Limerick man doing his very best today to try and help Ireland to a World Cup semi-final.

The former Munster man is recovering from a hamstring operation to repair the damage done in last week’s win over France, and is with the Irish squad today ahead of the 1pm clash with Argentina.

The Irish team bus arrived into the Millennium Stadium this morning, and TV3’s coverage picked up the devastating moment when Sean O’Brien was helping the team captain off the bus with his crutches and leg in a brace.
