Ulster confirm Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding out for up to three months with elbow injuries

No SIx Nations for the Ulster men

Ulster Rugby have just confirmed the worst possible news about the No 10

With Johnny Sexton definitely out of Ireland’s SIx nations opener with Italy, the health of all the other Irish out-halves is a serious concern for Joe Schmidt. The pool available to the Kiwi has been further reduced today by the news that Paddy Jackson is sidelined for at 10-12 weeks with a banjaxed elbow.

It looked bad when he left the field in Toulon on Saturday but today brings the news that confirms his absence from the 2015 Six Nations.

‘Paddy Jackson suffered a dislocated elbow in Saturday’s defeat to Toulon at Stade Mayol. A scan yesterday revealed that he has an unstable joint and that he will require surgery. He is expected to be out of rugby for between ten and twelve weeks.’

Ulster have also reported an elbow ligament problem for Stuart Olding, with the exact same prognosis, 10-12 weeks on the sidelines.
