"It's a bad injury."

So said referee Wayne Barnes as Munster lock Tadhg Beirne shipped a bad blow to his rib's in his side's Champions Cup clash with Toulouse. Beirne, who was nominated for Six Nations Player of the Tournament after a superb return of form, was causing Toulouse trouble at Thomond Park when he took a knee to the ribs from Francois Cros. The Toulouse forward was making a carry into the Munster 22 when Beirne tackled him. The Munster lock went to ground and Cros followed soon after, his knee accidentally landing right on Beirne. The Kildare native tried to play on but only last two more minutes. During that time, he was subjected to a crunching Richie Arnold tackle that left him wincing. Tadhg Beirne was replaced by Billy Holland as Munster went into the 'Home' changing room 16-9 up, at half-time. The first half had seen Munster rallying superbly after falling 6-3 behind to a massively fired up Toulouse. Both Damian De Allende and Keith Earls were in their element on a sunny day in Limerick. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/1378355530557710340 More to follow....
