This spine-tingling recap of Munster’s season will have you pumped up for Saturday

Will they be adding footage from Saturday to this highlight reel?

Sometimes you need to take a minute and step back to fully realise how impressive Munster have been this season.

They came from a team who just about secured a top six finish in the PRO 12 and one who were soundly beaten in Europe to one of the best sides in both domestic and European competition.

In less than 12 months.

It’s nothing short of remarkable.

There have been so many factors which have contributed to their success.

The addition of Rassie Erasmus and Jacques Nienaber, the fitness of key players, the form shown by promising youngsters and bringing in some excellent overseas talent.

Of course, the tragic passing of Anthony Foley has seemed to bring an added level of focus and intensity to this group, and the importance of this cannot be understated.

No matter what happens between now and the end of the season, Munster’s year has been a success.

They have pretty much guaranteed a home semi-final in the PRO12 (they face Treviso next) and they are in the last four of the Champions Cup.

However, there is something in the air down south which suggests that this incredible story isn’t finished yet.

The southern province are so, so close to achieving something truly special and you just know that they will do everything in their power to achieve this.

Ahead of Saturday’s monumental tie against Saracens, Munster Rugby have released a spine-tingling recap of their European journey thus far.

We recommend anyone supporting Munster this weekend to give it a watch as it will certainly pump you up for what will be a great occasion in the Aviva Stadium.
