Simon Zebo's working CV has shown some steady signs of progression: Debenhams, Cork Con., Munster, Ireland, British & Irish Lions. The one job that stands out was his three-month stint in the clothing and home-ware store. Zebo tells SportsJOE:
"I was learning to drive, when I was 17, in my sister's Citroën Saxo. I was only going backwards and forwards in the driveway but I thought I was Colin McRae. "I thought I had the car in reverse and put my foot down. It must have been in first gear as it shot forward into the gate. I had to get a summer job, in Debenhams at Mahon Point, to earn the money to pay for the repairs."
Zebo's other sporting passions are varied - basketball and athletics, which he loved during is time in school, boxing and MMA. He says, 'I love play-off time of the year in the NBA. Summer tours have meant I have not been to see any play-off games but I am hoping to do so this year. I would love to go see the Cavaliers play. I'm a massive fan of LeBron James.' He adds:
'Conor McGregor is doing unreal [in the UFC]. He has this natural charisma. He reminds me of Floyd Mayweather. He is a total showman that talks the talk and who goes out and proves it every time.'
