Sean O’Brien an absolute animal of a boxer and Tadhg Furlong is of course in bench press 100 club

These guys lift.

Listen, it’s perfectly natural and perfectly healthy to take an unhealthy obsession with the physique of rugby players – especially when they’re prized Irish beef.

The Lions are flat out in Carton House this week for their final training camp at home before they take for New Zealand and the work they’re going through is downright serious – as if it would be anything less.

When you’re sporting triceps like Sean O’Brien, you’re not skipping any day.

Even Ben Te’o looked like a natural with the ash.

But the fun and games didn’t last long because it was straight down to business on Tuesday and that business involved grind, sweat and a lot of muscle.

Owen Farrell working on his lower back.

Sam Warburton obviously needed weights to challenge himself physically.

He soon met his match in the shoulder press.

Jared Payne stopping mid pull-up for a smouldering photo.

Johnny Sexton looking steady.

Robbie Henshaw banging out a 110kg back squat.

Straight into hurdle jumps.

Tadhg Furlong wouldn’t get out of bed for a two-figure bench. 100kg here.

Iain Henderson doing push-ups with a medicine ball.

Now f**k the medicine ball as far as you can.

And Sean O’Brien using those hurting bombs of arms for terrifying purposes.
