Queensland Reds claim word of Cooper deal with Toulon is premature

Looks pretty much done to us

This horse has bolted, we think

Despite Toulon’s announcement of the signing of Quade Cooper over the weekend, the Queensland Reds are, it seems, refusing to admit defeat when it comes to the Australian rugby star’s future.

The French outfit on Friday claimed they have signed the 27-year-old out-half to a two-year deal, but Queensland official Jim Carmichael insisted Cooper had yet to commit his future to the European champions.

‘There is more conversation to be had and this is the last time I’m commenting on this until our discussions are concluded,’ Carmichael told the Sydney Morning Herald.

We could say more, but for us a picture tells a thousand words.
