PIC: Rugby captain suffers one of the most gruesome ear injuries we’ve seen [GRAPHIC]

Rugby, it ain't for the feint-hearted.

Kolo Kiripati has been doing his hard-charging thing for Buccaneers, in Athlone, for around a decade now. The Samoan is a popular figure at Bucs and is club captain this year as they seek promotion to Ulster Bank League Division 1A. Kiripati helped his side to a hard-fought victory over Naas, last weekend, but he copped a bit of a shoeing in the process. The No.8 found himself in the thick of a fiercely contested breakdown when his ear was jagged by some stray studs. Be warned, the images below are graphic. Okay, here goes... The ear was, thankfully, stitched up and Kiripati has suffered no long-term damage. Just to be safe, he sat out Bucc's 49-36 win over U.C.C this afternoon but, dedicated captain that he is, was able to make it along for the post-match pints. Handsome as ever.
