Munster to prepare in unfamiliar surroundings ahead of Saturday’s PRO12 final

Home comforts

Munster won’t be in their traditional red on Saturday.

The Guinness PRO12 final is taking place between Munster and Scarlets on Saturday in the Aviva Stadium.

The Irish province will be wearing their navy second strip with the Scarlets winning a toss to wear red.

The occasion will also mark the first time that Munster will use the home dressing room at the Aviva Stadium.

Munster have played in the Aviva at least once a season since the redeveloped stadium opened in 2010, but this is the first time they will enjoy all the home comforts.

Here is Munster’s blue shirt being modelled by Leinster’s James Ryan in a recent game against the Ireland Under-20s.

These decisions were made after a coin-toss that occurred in Dublin recently.

Munster trained at the High-Performance Centre in UL on Monday where they began their preparations for Saturday’s Final.

Elsewhere, Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus reported a clean bill of health with no fresh injury concerns for the province following the semi-final win over Ospreys at Thomond Park.
