Based on previous form, this should be a beauty.
In Ireland, we have four different kit manufacturers of the main rugby teams.
Munster – Adidas
Leinster – Canterbury
Connacht – BLK
Ulster – Kukri
Ireland – Canterbury
We think it’s safe to say that Adidas are the best of the lot, and that’s by a fine margin.
They just don’t know how to make a bad rugby shirt.
Let’s look at their form for Munster in previous years.
Munster Home 2015-2017
Munster Away 2015/2016
Munster Alternate 2016/2017 (Little bit out there but it’s nice)
Munster Alternate 2012/2013
And have you seen their latest offering for the New Zealand Super Rugby sides ahead of the Lions Tour?!
Makes the Lions jersey look crap in comparison https://t.co/LGFIFpdKGz

We think it’s safe to say that Adidas know what they are doing.
Canterbury on the other hand…..
Their Ireland jersey isn’t up to much.
The red of the vodafone logo ruins the shirt, and the collar is a bit weird too.
Plus, it’s just an uninspiring design, very plain.
The Leinster home jersey, also made by Canterbury, is much nicer than the Ireland one.
The collar wouldn’t exactly suit our tastes, it is a bit low.
But the blue and white from the midriff upwards is excellent, including the yellow stars. The stripe pattern is a bit off but not the worst.
Unfortunately, the stripes are a feature on both the alternate and European kits.
They are hideous.
Shame on you Canterbury, shame.
Fear not Leinster fans because your trend of disappointing jerseys looks set to come to an end.
The Irish Independent are reporting that Adidas are to be their kit manufacturer from the 2018/2019 season onwards, for five years.
It will likely mean that Lifestyle Sports will be the exclusive seller of all Leinster gear, as is currently the case with Munster.
Just one more season to go.
We wonder will there be a fourth star on the shirt when Adidas take over?
