Scotland coach Vern Cotter deems Kelly Brown surplus to requirements. Saracens are delighted with that.

Scottish flanker Kelly Brown is not getting a look-in during this year's Six Nations but he continues to drive everything good about Saracens. Brown was not prepared to let the minor inconvenience of a dislocated finger end his match, against Bath. He called on the medics and, after two attempts, they managed to pop his finger back in. He played on for five more minutes and, with his team leading 31-24 after 72 minutes, withdrew from the fray. Sarries won 34-24 in the end. The match also featured Chris Ashton winning this duel with rugby league convert Sam Burgess in emphatic fashion.
