One of the world's most famous fictional squires (I know, what an accolade) is supporting the Boys In Green.

Game of Thrones actor Daniel Portman was in the Olympic stadium to watch Ireland secure a hard-fought World Cup victory over Italy. Portman, who plays Podrick Payne aka Brienne of Tarth's squire in the smash-hit HBO fantasy dragon porn series, tweeted a photo of him showing his support for Ireland at the game. https://twitter.com/Daniel_Portman/status/650701707786211328 As if swigging a pint of Guinness and wearing green didn't prove the Scottish-born actor's Irishness, he offered to kick things up a notch with by Gaelifying (that's a new word) up his character's name. https://twitter.com/Daniel_Portman/status/650709793422901248
