Another off-the-field incident for England to deal with
Danny Cipriani is the latest England World Cup hopeful to land himself in hot water after he was reportedly arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in London in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Fly-half Cipriani has been working his way back into coach Stuart Lancaster's good graces this season, with some fine performances for Sale topped off with a scintillating display in England's 73-12 win over the Barbarians on Sunday.
But news of his arrest and subsequent release on bail, which came following a collision involving his Mercedes, is likely to severely hamper his chances of making England's final World Cup squad.
Lancaster has already ruled out Manu Tuilagi after he was convicted of assaulting two female police officers, while hooker Dylan Hartley is also out of the picture as he is serving a suspension for a headbutt in the Premiership semi-final.
