England rule out Owen Farrell for the entire Six Nations

Your time has come George Ford

Big blow for England ahead of the Six Nations

This morning we learned that England’s starting fly half, Owen Farrell, was out of their opening Six Nations game against Wales. Now, only a few hours later, England have announced it was far worse than that for the Saracens man.

This means that George Ford, who only has six caps, will likely get the nod from Stuart Lancaster to start and it also means that Danny Cipriani has a much better shot of making the final cut and a place on the England panel.

Farrell joins Manu Tuilagi, Joe Launchbury, Courtney Lawes and Ben Morgan as players definitely on the sidelines for England for the big tournament.
