James Haskell is not dead and he has recorded a video message to emphatically prove it

Hands off Haskell 2016!

Patrick McCarry

Good to have that one cleared up.

On a jaunt around social media this morning, we spotted this:

That’s right, England rugby star James Haskell has taken to YouTube to confirm that he is still with us.

Given the grim reaper’s busy schedule in 2016, it was heartening to hear Haskell remains very much alive.

Haskell did not feature in Wasps’ Champions Cup win over Connacht but he is hoping to be back in action early next year. While there are no news reports of Haskell’s passing, the England forward claims to have spotted stories of his demise online from ‘fake news sites’. He declared:

“Apologies for the wife-beater. That’s how I operate most of the time…

“You may have seen there are quite a lot of fake news stories operating on Facebook… that, A, I died, B, I died of a steroid overdose or, C, I died of a steroid overdose. Not true.

“That my career is over because I did a naughty thing and have been trying to sell drugs. It is also not true… And there is also something about me having to quit rugby and left everyone in my family and moved away.

“It is absolute rubbish. It is something called CLICK-BAIT.”

Haskell believes the fake story he spotted about his passing was circulated with a link to buy performance-enhancing supplements.

The Haskell show goes on.
