Blackrock College advanced to the Leinster Schools Rugby Senior Cup semi-final on Sunday with a 19-17 win over St. Gerard’s College.
Blackrock came from 12 points down to mount an incredible comeback, but ultimately, St. Gerard’s College inside centre Cormac Foley beautiful chip kick was in vein.
Foley gather the ball towards the Blackrock line and dinked his chip over the defence before collecting the ball on the other side to score.

Blackrock were defeated in 10-3 in last year’s final to Belvedere and will advance to the semi-finals while it’s the end of the road for St. Gerard’s after they defeated St. Fintan’s 23-7 in Donnybrook earlier this month.
Meanwhile Foley has been earmarked as a player to watch for the future having represented the Leinster U19’s; covering multiple positions from scrum-half through to inside centre.
