This time last year we were gearing up for Brian O'Driscoll's last ever Six Nations tournament. We were hoping it would end with the trophy and so it did, in the most storybook end to an international career.
Since then BOD has won the Pro 12, retired from all rugby, had another baby and started work as a pundit but despite all these distractions, he made sure to offer some support to the lads after their first Six Nations match since he hung up his boots.
He kept a monk's vow of silence during the 26-3 win in Rome but has now given his verdict and Robbie Henshaw is going to be pleased.
The former Ireland captain has given his backing to the new partnership between the Connacht man and Jared Payne
