Over on BT Sport, the commentators spoke of Vunipola as the victim of a torrid time of it - "It's been a tough week for him". There was little focus on the fact that the player willingly waded into the Folau debate to speak up for him and share a few of his own views as he was at it.
Following the game, after copping more boos from fans on a victory lap, Vunipola told BT Sport that it was never his intention 'to hurt anyone' with his comments on social media.

He was confronted by a fan wearing Munster gear, on the pitch, during that victory lap. The fan gave Vunipola a piece of his mind before being escorted away by stewards.
