The hype has been building for months and the withdrawal of Jose Aldo has done little to lessen the appetite for UFC 189.
In the small hours of Sunday morning (Irish time) Conor McGregor will face Chad Mendes in the MGM Grand in front of thousands of Irish fans who have travelled to Las Vegas, and tens of thousands more who will be watching on TVs and laptops at home.
