Holy crap.

A reporter in Brazil are claiming that Rafael dos Anjos has suffered a broken foot while preparing for his UFC 196 lightweight title defence against Conor McGregor. A Brazilian journalist, the same member of the media to first report the rib injury which ruled Jose Aldo out of his original fight with McGregor, tweeted out the bad news, which was then confirmed by Brazilian MMA site Combate. https://twitter.com/fabiana_mello/status/701955146721394688 Combate claim that RDA suffered the injury in training, which would almost certainly end any hope of the two facing off in the main event of UFC 196 as scheduled on March 5 UPDATE

Ariel Helwani spoke to dos Anjos' coach Rafael Cordeiro, who confirmed that RDA's injury won't require surgery, but the fighter  can't put any pressure on it for at least three weeks.

"I am devastated, because we were preparing well for this fight and we were ready."
