It didn't take long for Nik Lentz to respond to the news that Norman Parke was released by the UFC.
Parke broke the news on Friday night, reassuring everyone that he was not playing an April Fools Day prank. The Bushmills native went 1-3 over in his last four fights with his recent loss to Rustam Khabilov at UFC London providing the final nail in the coffin for his first stint in the UFC, which began in late 2012.
Prior to being released, Parke had been campaigning for a fight against lightweight Nik Lentz. The top ten featherweight had remained tight-lipped about Parke's call-out, but after hearing that the Northern Irishman had been let go, he felt obliged to reply on Twitter.

The irony is that Parke had been slagging Lentz off for being a "McGregor wannabe", to which Lentz decided his first response would be much like one you would expect from the Notorious himself.
