The headliner was originally scheduled to be a lightweight title fight between champion Rafael dos Anjos and ‘The Notorious’ but dos Anjos was forced out of the bout with a fractured foot.
And through the bevy of offers to stand in, Diaz was selected to meet McGregor in a welterweight clash on March 5.
The mental warfare gets underway tonight, at a press conference in Torrance, California and it all gets started at 9 PM GMT.
