Fox Sports host criticises “dumb” Conor McGregor for taking on the ‘most powerful family in Nevada’

Jesus, tell us what you really think

Ben Kiely

Conor McGregor’s a dumb liar, according to Fox Sports Host Colin Cowherd.

The Notorious has been grabbing the headlines of late for his strange activity on Twitter that ultimately led to his removal from UFC 200’s main event.

McGregor announced his retirement, his return to fighting and finally his return to UFC 200, despite the promotion’s big wigs confirming that he will no longer be part of the landmark show for refusing to fulfill the requisite media obligations.

Cowherd slated the Notorious’ antics on his show The Herd, branding the fighter as “dumb” for attempting to take on CEO of the UFC, Lorenzo Fertitta. He also believed that the Twitter retirement and the announcement of his return to UFC 200 were nothing more than lies concocted by the Dubliner.

“Here’s a rule for a 27-year-old millionaire. Don’t take on a 50-year-old billionaire. UFC fans think this is Conor against Dana White. No, no no, no. It’s not. It’s Conor taking on the Fertitta family, the single most powerful family in Nevada.”

“A 27-year-old kid has lied publicly, twice. He’s dumb. You don’t do that. Millionaires don’t get into whizzing matches against billionaires. You’ll lose every single time. It’s one thing to have a spat, but if I go public to defame my boss?”
