Fake reporter that roasted Eddie Alvarez wants to be on The MMA Hour

Make this happen Helwani

Patrick McCarry

Would actually make for an interesting interview.

Those of us that watched the UFC 205 press conference were taken by the final question of the night, as an unknown face grabbed the mic and addressed Eddie Alvarez. The ‘reporter’ declared:

“You have been mentioning that Conor McGregor is not a championship fighter and only has two to three rounds [in him] and yet in your professional career, you’ve only went to the fifth round twice and lost one of them. What the f**k are you talking about motherf**ker, WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Conor McGregor, who challenges Alvarez for his lightweight belt in November, absolutely loved it.

How does a regular, run-of-the-mill fight fan get to ask a question of the UFC lightweight champion at a Madison Square Garden press conference?

That could well be the first question Matt Morea is posed if his request to be interviewed on The MMA Hour is taken up.

Morea, who is living off his ‘Tie Guy’ slamming of Eddie Alvarez, has been in touched with MMA Hour host Ariel Helwani and is looking for his five minutes of fame to be dragged out a while longer.

Asked by Train MMA Now how he managed to get on the mic at the end of the UFC 205 presser, Morea responded:

The idea has certainly got Helwani’s attention.

Helwani will have lots of fighters and trainers lined up for interviews, next Monday, but we’d pop on in for a listen if he gave Morea five minutes.
