At least one fighter on stage was a fan of Conor McGregor’s infamous Go Big antics

The Immortal enjoyed it

As if he wasn’t public enemy number one already, Conor McGregor turned even more fighters against him with his comments at the now infamous UFC Go Big event last week.

The Notorious took aim at everyone from Jose Aldo to Donald Cerrone, from Chad Mendes to Joseph Duffy and seldom let a fighter get a word in edgewise as he dropped some classic sound bites on the Vegas crowd.

But one fighter absolutely loved the Irishman’s outbursts as UFC welterweight Matt Brown claims that it gave the event some much needed excitement.

“I’ve got to admit if Conor wasn’t there that would have been the most boring, son-of-a-bitch press conference in history,” Brown said on the Great MMA Debate podcast. “I was pretty goddamn bored myself, but I wasn’t getting any questions either and I had to pee so bad it was driving me up the wall. I don’t know what made me decide to chug a gallon of water before I went up there.”

“It would have been boring as shit without Conor. Nobody up there had shit to say,” Brown added. “I tried to give a little something out of my one question that I got. I tried to make my point right away, say what I had to say and get out.

“Funny enough after we got backstage, Conor came up to me and was like ‘Great response,’ he was like, ‘That was awesome.’ I had never met Conor before and he congratulated me a little bit.”
