Alleged dopers and the Olympics? It’ll never work.

It’s been reported that Anderson Silva will petition the Brazil sports federation this week, in an attempt to compete at next years Olympic Games in Rio. The MMA fighter, currently awaiting final punishment after testing positive for anabolic steroids and out of competition drugs earlier this year, wants to compete in taekwondo, his original discipline, at the games, when he’ll be 41.

Brazil, as hosts, are granted four guaranteed sports in the event, and Silva hopes to be able to fight for his home country at the games, despite facing a potential two year ban from UFC.

H/T Deadspin.
