If you had money down on Richard Johnson's ride in the 16:15 in Newton Abbot today you owe the Hereford man a big pat on the back.
All looked rosy for Clearly Capable backers with the eight-year-old coasting towards the final flight in the glorious sunshine, until suddenly, the Brian Barr trained horse decided to take a nosedive at his last obstacle.
39-year-old Johnson produced a recovery of ridiculous proportion after being catapulted into the air to rescue victory from the jaws of defeat as he somehow managed to stay on board the 6-1 shot.

Johnson regained his composure to cajole the formerly Wexford trained Roy Wecker horse to victory.
That's a ridiculous display of balance and craftsmanship by Johnson and shows just why he has rode over 3,000 winners.
Someone buy that man a pint!
