Scary

Ryan Moore was due to take on seven rides at Newmarket today, but instead he’s going to be assessed at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after an incident in the stalls on Thursday afternoon.

The champion jockey was hurt in an incident in the final race of the day, when his mount Newton’s Law unseated him in the stall.

Moore is understood to have struck his neck on the gate after the horse reared, and despite Moore walking away from the incident, he was taken to hospital for examination.

Newton’s Law was withdrawn from the race after the incident  and an update on Moore’s condition is expected later today.
