Vine: Great sportsmanship from Danny Mullins to keep rival jockey aboard horse

The Sport of Kings certainly lived up to its name on Monday.

There was a great sight in Roscommon at the 4:15 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Kilbegnet (deep intake of breath) Novice Steeplechase (exhales loudly).

Jody McGarvey almost had a very dangerous fall during the race. He slipped off his saddle after his horse Old Supporter had a rough landing following a jump.

The jockey looked as if he was heading straight to the ground, right in the line of several chasing horses, until another competitor in the race came to his rescue.

Danny Mullins, who was aboard Tavern Times, reached out and helped McGarvey stay aboard on his horse.
