A horse race is never over until you hit the line, but this jockey got a little bit ahead of himself.
Enders Cat made a bold bid for home under Gerardo Corrales, streaking to the finish line for what he thought was a shock 80-1 victory at Florida's Gulfstream Park on New Year's Day.
The duo surged to what Corrales thought was an eight-length win but got a rude awakening when he was rejoined by the rest of the horses as he eased off around the bend.
Just one problem - there was still another lap to go, and with Enders Cat gassed from his impressive sprint to the front the Corrales and his mount were destined to trail in behind the rest of the pack.
