Wednesday's racing at Leopardstown has been called off following an early morning inspection. Heavy overnight rain forced officials to carry out a check at 8.30am and they determined that conditions were not suitable for racing. The Leopardstown Racecourse account tweeted shortly after 9am: "Following greater overnight rainfall than anticipated and with further rain this morning, parts of the track have been left unfit for racing with no improvement expected." https://twitter.com/LeopardstownRC/status/981442164076040192 https://twitter.com/LeopardstownRC/status/981442369492062209 https://twitter.com/LeopardstownRC/status/981457651828756481 As you can imagine, with it being Student Race Day, it has left students furious at the short-notice cancellation. https://twitter.com/davidalford1/status/981444215065464832 https://twitter.com/lauraan63962155/status/981447491194408962 https://twitter.com/duffy_irl_afc/status/981448919082323969 https://twitter.com/iamadamb1998/status/981455438796423169 https://twitter.com/butler165/status/981446815211016192 https://twitter.com/WhorefieldStspt/status/981446413241417730
