Classy

Earlier this week AP McCoy bid farewell to his Irish fans after a decent showing at Fairyhouse where he saddled two winners on the opening day, but came home unplaced on Easter Monday on Cantlow in the Irish National.

The Aintree renewal of one of the most famous races in the world this Saturday, the English Grand National, sees McCoy take to the track on Merseyside for one last trip and it’s sure to be an emotional time.

Last month Cheltenham paoid its own tribute as AP rode his last mounts at the festival, and it seems the organisers at Aintree have pulled out all the stops to bid a fond farewell to one of the greatest jockeys of all time.

His image is projected onto the famous Liver building in the heart of the city with a very simple message.
