Rishi – Cheltenham – 1.50 – Friday – THE DOYEN CHIEF
“The Doyen Chief didn’t get a run in the Coral Gold Cup because of that ridiculous start. He was a progressive chaser last season and I thought he ran really well. I think he’s one of the horses still on the up. So Doyen Chief on Friday for me.”
Tom Stanley – Cheltenham – 1.50 – Saturday – HOLY JOE SMOKE
“Holy Joe Smoke for Dan Skelton. Loads of horses have come out the Paddy Power and gone onto win a December Gold Cup so he shaped well there and was staying on, the new course will suit, and he won’t go off favourite if Jagwar lines up. So Holy Joe Smoke for me.”
Oli – Cheltenham – 3.00 – Saturday – CONMAN JOHN
“This horse is really really good and it’s Conman John. Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore know what a good staying novice hurdler is and already this horse has shown lots of talent. So, short price but I think he’ll win on Saturday.”
