WATCH: Shane Lowry and Ian Poulter take their table tennis VERY seriously

If this isn’t enough to secure a Ryder Cup slot, we don’t know what is.

Ian Poulter has long been the lightning rod for Team Europe in golf’s storied team event.

Now it looks like we have found him a tenacious teammate.

Lowry, who has won two points for his team in the Eurasia Cup, formed a great on-course partnership with Andy Sullivan.

Once the clubs were stashed, Lowry then joined up with Poulter for an epic table tennis contest against Soren Kjeldsen and Kristopher Brodberg.

By Lowry’s account [and by Poulters proclamations], the Anglo-Irish duo trailed before mounting a superb comeback.

Team captain Darren Clarke can’t help but love this enthusiasm. Europe leading 9-3 going into the final day must please him too.
