“What are you doing?” – Tiger Woods cracks with fan trying to put him off

A disruptive fan was ejected from The Open after shouting during Tiger Woods’ drive on the 18th hole at Carnoustie.

The spectator, believed to be sat in a hospitality box, could be heard roaring “Free Palestine” during Woods’ backswing as the 42-year-old closed out a valiant final round.

The Independent report that the fan also made an offensive gesture towards Woods before staff asked him to leave.

The former world number one was visibly irritated by the interruption after enjoying a surging return to what looked like his best form as he piled the pressure on his rivals early on Sunday.

“No! What are you doing?” Woods yelled in response, in disbelief that at the lack of respect.

Woods briefly took the lead after putting together two birdies and no bogeys on the front nine on Sunday but, in the end, it was Francesco Molinari’s day as Woods finished even on the day and 5-under for the event.

Woods lifted the Claret Jug on three occasions in the past and he provided his fans with plenty of hope with his performance this weekend, securing a top-10 finish.

There was no denying the glimpses of a prime Woods though, who led on Sunday in a major for the first time since the 2009 PGA Championship.
