Jealous is all

Pin it up on the wall Rory

If Rory McIlroy wanted any more motivation to whup-the-asses of his fellow pro’s at the Masters then he’s got it in spades this evening. The Ulster man has been pretty much written off as having no hope at all of winning at Augusta and completing a clean sweep of golf honours by his fellow pro’s

An ESPN survey of 103 professional golfers, only 28 believed that the Down native had the nerve to win this week while 72 said no and three abstained.

Interestingly a number of the pro’s surveyed also felt that Tiger Woods still can win another major with just over half saying he will add to his 14 titles so far. Sixty-four said he would rediscover his best form while the rest felt his best was past.

The players were interviewed between January and March and rather bizarrely over 25% of them said they would not help Bubba Watson in a fist fight. Patrick Reed received 11% of the vote with Rory Sabbatini coming in a close third of most disliked players.

It seems that the players also want testing for dope to be dropped by the PGA. An incredible 62 golfers surveyed felt that it was time that testing for Marijuana was stopped while 40 thought testing should continue.
