Can't wait for the season premiere of Game of Thrones? Can't wait for the Masters?

Well this glorious piece of ingenuity might do something to ease the anxiety as you await both. The fact that both Augusta and the first episode of Game of Thrones Season Five are mere days away has prompted the brainboxes over at Direct Golf to reproduce the TV show's iconic Iron Throne using second-hand golf clubs. The result is astounding, with 320 golf clubs combining to create the 6ft tall structure. The fact that Balerion the Black Dread wasn't around to help added quite a bit of time to its production and the whole process took 120 man hours. Direct Golf owner John Andrew said: "We had a brainstorm about what to do with 300-plus traded-in clubs we had in the warehouse, and a fan of the Game of Thrones series suggested – initially tongue-in-cheek I imagine – that we should create a replica ‘Irons Throne’.

"It snowballed from there and everybody bought into the concept really quickly as it was felt that, not only would it be an iconic feature, but that it could do a lot of good in terms of raising money for good causes."
