Welcome to life on the European Tour.
Just two weeks ago Paul Dunne was celebrating as he secured a professional tour card for the new season.
The golfer, who enjoyed an incredible end to last season (which finished last week), came home inside the top 25 at the Qualifying School in Girona to secure his first ever professional tour card.
That allowed him tee off at this week’s event as a fully paid up member of the European Tour but unfortunately things have not gone so well for the Wicklow man over the last 24 hours.
He hit an opening round of 73 on day one of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship to lie on 1 over.
However day two began badly and got worse as a second round 75 has seen him finish the day on +4 and is well off the cut mark which currently stands at level par.
It wasn’t a good two days ether for Waterford Kevin Phelan, who also failed to make the cut as he’s followed an opening day 73 with a 75 this afternoon. to also end on +4
