Top female golfer delivers hilarious response to LPGA’s strict new dress code

Imagine that

This one has divided a lot of people.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association has, starting from this weekend, kicked in their new dress code rules.

“Plunging necklines,” and “leggings” are out.

Skirts or shorts that do not ‘sufficiently cover a player’s bottom area’ at all times are gone too. Collarless tops are now sacrosanct.

The LPGA has had enough of their top stars showing off what they feel is too much. Any golfer going against the new rules will be hit with a $1,000 fine. It’s double that for a second offence, triple that if one errs a third time and so on.

World No.3 Lexi Thompson is certainly not too chuffed with the new rules.

The 22-year-old from Florida, and one-time Major winner, took to Instagram to give a funny take on the arrival of the new rule-set. She wrote:

‘Got my new LPGA dress code compliant  ready to go.’
