Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s next club seems to have been let slip by his sportswear company

On the move

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is apparently moving Stateside.

After being officially released by Manchester United earlier this month, Ibrahimovic remains on the radar of several clubs in Europe, the United States and China.

A move to Major League Soccer was initially ruled out by the centre-forward’s agent, Mino Raiola.

“There have been offers from clubs from many leagues, but he will remain in Europe 100 per cent,” Raiola said at the end of last season.

Well LA Galaxy’s wage offer must have been pretty significant in that case because it would appear that they have convinced Ibrahimovic to swap Manchester for the City of Angels.

While there has been no official announcement yet from club or player, Ibrahimovic’s sportswear company seems to have confirmed the 35-year-old’s next move.

A-Z Sportswear, the brand launched by Ibrahimovic last year, took to Twitter to seemingly reveal that the Swedish powerhouse would be on his way to the Galaxy.

It had previously been suggested that Ibrahimovic could remain at United to complete his rehabilitation and some had even reckoned that he could re-sign for the Red Devils on a short-term deal once he returned to fitness.

A move to LA Galaxy, if it does come to fruition, does not necessarily mean that he couldn’t feature for United again as, in recent years, we’ve seen players maintain their match fitness during the MLS off-season by completing loan deals to the Premier League.
