Former Liverpool winger looking to cut a dash with clothing brand

Following in the well heeled footsteps of Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Babel has now decided to launch his own fashion label.

The Dutchman, who spent four seasons at Anfield is set to release a clothing range called ‘YNWA’ in obvious tribute to his former employers.

Liverpool have had a bit of a history with fashion, who doesn’t remember those smashing cream suits on FA Cup final day back in 1996 or that lovely ‘exploding rhombus’ on their away jersey from last season.

Clearly Babel is hoping to be more successful on the catwalk than on the football field as he’s plying his trade with Turkish outfit Kasimpasa at the moment.

The not-quite-flying-down-the-wing Dutchman revealed more details in a fairly bizarre promo video

I think SportsJoe will be sticking to Penneys for the moment at least.
