What a player

A Euros without Zlatan is a Euros not worth watching.

The Sweden captain was always going to play a significant role in his country’s pair of play-offs with Denmark.

Whether that was getting sent off in the first leg for kicking a Dane’s head off or scoring the decisive goals, he was always going to have his say in the tie.

Fortunately for Sweden, Ibra was in the latter mood and the PSG front man scored three times across the two legs to give Sweden a place in the Euro 2016 finals.

After scoring from the penalty spot at home, Zlatan opened the scoring in Copenhagen but saved his best for last.

Ibrahimovic stepped over a free kick in the 76th minute and found the target in some style to ensure that one of the most entertaining players in the world will be present in France next summer.

And as if his entertainment value was ever in question, just check out what he had to say after the game.

“Denmark wanted me to retire. I just sent their whole nation into retirement.”

Oh, Zlatan.
