"This week, the rest of the world found out what the people of Liverpool have always known."Earlier this week, a jury's verdict found the deaths of 96 football fans in 1989 at Hillsborough unlawful. The verdict came as a huge relief to the families affected, who finally gained some sense of justice from the tragic deaths of their loved ones who sadly died in the stadium disaster during the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest 27 years ago. Teams across the English leagues have been paying tribute to the victims' families by taking a moment of silence/applause before kicking off their respective games. That was also the plan for the Premier clash between Newcastle and Crystal Palace, but the fans at St James' Park decided to do something different. As the players lined up to take part in the moment of reflection, supporters began belting out Liverpool's anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone." Check out the touching scene in the video embedded below.
